VAT Group Haag, Comet Flamatt, EM Microelectronic Marin — equipment OEMs, not high-volume fabs.
Cross-border equipment-manufacturing workforce mobilisation against Switzerland's semiconductor-equipment OEM cluster — VAT Group (vacuum valves, Haag SG), Comet Group (X-ray + RF, Flamatt FR), Inficon (Bad Ragaz SG), and EM Microelectronic (Swatch Group subsidiary, Marin NE low-volume specialty CMOS). Note: Switzerland has no high-volume commercial fabs comparable to Intel Leixlip or TSMC.

Equipment-build cleanroom ladders to ISO Class 4-5, not Class 1.
Swiss semiconductor equipment manufacturers (VAT vacuum valves, Comet X-ray, Inficon vacuum metrology, EM Microelectronic specialty CMOS) build to ISO Class 4-5 cleanroom for equipment assembly. SECO + Suva inspection; SQS quality systems.

Switzerland is a semiconductor equipment-manufacturing hub, not a fab market. VAT Group (vacuum valves), Comet (X-ray + RF), Inficon (vacuum metrology), and EM Microelectronic (specialty CMOS, Swatch Group) anchor the cluster. The page is framed accordingly — equipment assembly, not high-volume wafer-fab construction.
01. Pre-pricing — Sectoral GAV + Suva
Equipment-assembly workforce sits under the receiving canton’s GAV (Gesamtarbeitsvertrag) for the metal / machinery industry. Wage rate depends on canton and trade. Suva (federal accident insurance) carries employer-liability.
02. SECO Voranmeldepflicht + A1 + Aufenthaltsbewilligung
A1 + German/French/Italian-language contract + 8-Tage-Voranmeldung via SECO meldeverfahren.admin.ch predate site arrival. The 8-day window applies for assignments > 8 days/calendar year or in protected sectors (construction, hospitality, cleaning, surveillance) from day one. Where the assignment exceeds 90 days, separate Aufenthaltsbewilligung procedures apply per canton.
EntsG Art. 9 fine ceiling: CHF 30,000 for serious or repeated breaches. Construction-sector Arbeitsmarktsperre up to 5 years.
03. Suva + cantonal AHV onboarding
Workforce enrols against Suva for accident insurance + cantonal AHV (Alters- und Hinterlassenenversicherung) for social-security. Equipment-OEM cleanroom-trade enrolment runs against operator-specific QMS (VAT, Comet, Inficon internal protocols).
04. SECO + Suva-defensible evidence pack
Tripartite Kommissionen (TPK) monitor non-GAV sectors; Paritätische Kommissionen (PK) monitor GAV sectors. Minimum survivable pack: CHF / EUR remuneration to a Swiss bank account where Aufenthaltsbewilligung > 90 days, language-appropriate contract, Voranmeldung record, Suva membership confirmation, operator-OEM internal QMS gowning-qualification per individual.
05. India and Gulf sourcing corridors — the CH equipment pathway
Indian and Gulf corridors deliver IIW-certified cleanroom-equipment fitters + BHEL-trained controls integrators. Recognition pathway through SBFI (Staatssekretariat für Bildung, Forschung und Innovation) Anerkennungsstelle. The 8 to 14-week corridor delivers the cleanroom-trade candidate against VAT Haag, Comet Flamatt, Inficon Bad Ragaz, or EM Microelectronic Marin.
